Layered Butterscotch-Chocolate Dessert Bars

Ingredients:
✅ 1 cup all-purpose flour
✅ 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
✅ 1/4 cup brown sugar
✅ 1 cup butterscotch chips
✅ 1/2 cup heavy cream
✅ 1 cup chocolate chips
✅ 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almond)

Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2️⃣ In a bowl, combine the flour, butter, and brown sugar. Press this mixture into the bottom of your prepared pan.
3️⃣ Bake the base for 15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
4️⃣ While the base is baking, combine the butterscotch chips and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the chips have melted and the mixture is smooth.
5️⃣ Pour the melted butterscotch over the baked base, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
6️⃣ Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped nuts over the butterscotch layer.
7️⃣ Bake for another 10 minutes, or until the chocolate chips are just starting to melt.
8️⃣ Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting them into squares.
