Classic Italian Lasagna

Ingredients:
✅ 9 Lasagna Noodles
✅ 1 lb Ground Beef
✅ 1 Onion, finely chopped
✅ 2 cloves Garlic, minced
✅ 1 can (15 oz) Tomato Sauce
✅ 1 can (6 oz) Tomato Paste
✅ 2 cups Ricotta Cheese
✅ 1 Egg
✅ 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
✅ 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
✅ 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
✅ Salt and Black Pepper to taste
✅ Olive Oil for frying

 

Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Meanwhile, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
3️⃣ Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until it’s browned. Drain off any excess fat.
4️⃣ Stir in the tomato sauce and tomato paste. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer the meat sauce for about 15 minutes.
5️⃣ In a separate bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, a handful of mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
6️⃣ In a large casserole dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce, then a layer of lasagna noodles, and a layer of the cheese mixture. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce.
7️⃣ Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the top. Season with additional black pepper.
8️⃣ Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
9️⃣ Let the lasagna rest for about 15 minutes before cutting and serving. Garnish with additional fresh parsley, if desired.
