Ingredients:
✅ 200g of all-purpose flour
✅ 200g of granulated sugar
✅ 75g of unsweetened cocoa powder
✅ 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder
✅ 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking soda
✅ 1 teaspoon of salt
✅ 2 large eggs
✅ 1 cup of whole milk
✅ 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
✅ 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
✅ 1 cup of boiling water
✅ 1/2 cup of heavy cream
✅ 300g of semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
2️⃣ In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
4️⃣ Gradually add the boiling water, stirring continuously, until the mixture is well combined.
5️⃣ Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
6️⃣ Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
7️⃣ While the cake is cooling, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
8️⃣ Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
9️⃣ Pour the glaze over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
