Ingredients:
✅ 2 cups of all-purpose flour
✅ 1 tsp of baking powder
✅ 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
✅ 1/2 cup of sugar
✅ 2 large eggs
✅ 1/2 cup of milk
✅ 1 tsp of vanilla extract
✅ 1 cup of cream cheese
✅ 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
2️⃣ In a large bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. Set aside.
3️⃣ In another bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated.
4️⃣ On a floured surface, roll the dough out into a rectangle. Cut into 8 equal rectangles.
5️⃣ In a separate bowl, mix together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Spread the mixture evenly over each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.
6️⃣ Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges to seal. Place the pastries on the prepared baking sheet.
7️⃣ Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
