Seared scallops drizzled with a creamy herb sauce offer a perfect blend of tenderness and rich flavor—ideal for elegant dinners or special occasions.
Ingredients:
✅ 12 large sea scallops
✅ Salt and pepper to taste
✅ 2 tablespoons olive oil
✅ 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
✅ 1 cup heavy cream
✅ 2 cloves garlic, minced
✅ 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
✅ Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions:
1️⃣ Pat the scallops dry and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
2️⃣ Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the scallops and sear until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Remove the scallops from the skillet and set them aside.
3️⃣ Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4️⃣ Stir in the heavy cream, parsley, and lemon juice. Simmer the sauce until it thickens slightly, about 3 minutes.
5️⃣ Return the scallops to the skillet and coat them in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the scallops are heated through.
6️⃣ Divide the scallops and sauce among four shallow bowls. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
