Ingredients

  • - 2 medium potatoes Russet or Yukon Gold, peeled and shredded
  • - 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. Rinse shredded potatoes in cold water to remove starch and pat dry with a clean towel.
  • 3. In a bowl, mix shredded potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • 4. Shape the potato mixture into small patties or leave loose for a more rustic hash brown.
  • 5. Place the potato mixture in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • 6. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • 7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

- For extra crispiness, squeeze out excess water from shredded potatoes before seasoning.
- Adjust seasoning to personal preference.
- Works well as a side for eggs, bacon, or avocado toast.
