- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- 1 cup strawberries diced
- 4 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk
- powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Prepare the Filling:
In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
Gently fold in diced strawberries and set aside.
Assemble the Turnovers:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 4 equal squares.
Spoon a small amount of the strawberry cream cheese filling onto one side of each square.
Fold the pastry over the filling to form a triangle. Press edges with a fork to seal.
Brush the tops with egg wash (beaten egg mixed with milk) for a golden finish.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
